Short-term training program: “Internet Research, Social Media and Policy Analysis”

The Association for International Relations is launching a short-term training program in internet research for policy analysis and research. The aim of the program is to improve the knowledge of the internet’s effects on governance, development, and research and communication and to enhance the skills, abilities and the intuition of researchers, analysts, NGO activists and public sector employees for effectively operating in the World Wide Web for the purposes of more effective policy analysis, research and internet based action.

Comparative matrix of the interviews of President Saakashvili and President Medvedev (Interview dates: 2011–007–08/2011–08–05). In Georgian.

President Saakashvili and President Medvedev gave lengthy interviews (on July 8 and August 5, 2011 respectively) to the Georgian and Russian media at the eve of Russia - Georgia war of August 2008. In light of the crisis state of affairs between the two states, the Russian occupation of the Georgian territories, non-existent diplomatic relations and domestic political context, these interviews bear a special importance. We decided to group the opinions of the presidents into key themes that have been discussed and compare the positions of the two leaders on these important issues.
